Love the food and ambiance....have always been treated excepionally well by all staff members. Have even ordered an item no longer on the menu, and the Chef's have never disappointed us. As far as dipping sauces go, I don't think I have ever seen "Ranch" except on the salads(if requested).

This is a nice place with lots of atmosphere. The food is average. My dining companion ordered Chicken Marsala and was eventually told that the kitchen was unable to prepare her meal the way she ordered it. Our server was very personable. We will come back, but it may be a while.

We ate there this weekend and sat on the patio overlooking the city at night. It was beautiful. The food was wonderful. A great night.

Great menu selections!

Love this place. Best Italian from a chain restaurant available. Bread and dipping oil is delish. I try something different each time I go since everything on the menu is appealing and sounds wonderful. Atmosphere is cozy and wait staff is attentive.

huh?

hype? you've heard hype about Carino's?

As far as chain italian goes, Carino's is much better than Olive Garden. And I think Carino's is the best in Topeka for Italian. You have to go to KC for real good Italian.

As far as portion size, I'm a 270 pound man, and I never leave unsatisfied. I've never been offered ranch with anything except my salad.

The jalapeno tilapia is very good if you liek spicy food.

Don't believe the hype

Hmmm...so this is Italian? The sauce has a funny flavor, the portion size is tiny and they serve Ranch dressing for a dipping sauce? This is not the restaurant for me.

The menu is great.

Great food, it is nice to be able to switch from soup to salad when waiting on the meal to come out and the chili is A+

The flavor of the main (red) sauce is not a favorite of mine. For me, the sauce at other Italian restaurants just tastes better--not sure why

Sadly, maybe. Carino's is consistent. Certainly better than the place down the street. The pizza is actually pretty good. And it's tough to screw up noodles and tomato sauce, though some places do.

The soup and sandwich deal at lunch is definitly worth it. The homeade chips as a side are excellent.

Can't find that signature dish

The food is standard chain Italian; nothing really stands out for me. I've tried it about 7 or 8 times with friends and family, each time I try something different and I can't find a favorite dish.

The Timballo rocks!

The Timballo is an awesome menu item, especially if you want to share with a friend. It's very tasty, and you don't feel guilty after eating a ton of it.
