Andalè Mexican Restaurant

Andalè is about speedy service either inside the restaurant or in the drive-through lane.

Andalè opened Nov. 9 in what was formerly Charlee’s Burgers & Fries at 1901 S.W. 10th after updating the space. You can order items off the menu, or go the buffet route. Andalè employees will dish up meals from the buffet.

Platters are sure to become a favorite at Andalè. Customers may order three-, four- or six-item platters (prices, $4.99, $5.99 and $7.59). For the items, choose from tacos, burritos, enchiladas, enchilada casserole, salad and chili con queso. Rice, beans, chips and salsa come with each platter. Baker's Dozen Donuts

Baker's Dozen began in 2004 as a mom-and-pop style doughnut store, started by two former bakers for a corporate doughnut chain. As favorites like the Peanut Butter and Jelly Donut and the Chocolate and Peanut Butter Donut became well-loved in Topeka, the store quickly expanded from the original Lane Avenue location (now closed) to a sit-down style shop on S.W. 21st (now a few blocks west) and a second on S.E. 29th. You get more for your money at Baker's Dozen, which stays true to its name by adding an extra doughnut to every dozen you purchase. Diabetic? No problem! Located in the former Bennigan's restaurant building, the Boulevard Grill opened Dec. 1, 2008.

Featuring traditional menu options such as Boulevard Buffalo Wings, Chicken Fried Steak and a Classic Cheeseburger, you'll also find eclectic selections including Fried Green Beans, Sirloin Steak Montreal Style and the Boulevard Aloha Burger with pineapple and swiss cheese.
