This small, upscale restaurant with about 25 tables can be found in the Capitol Plaza Hotel, featuring an open-air atmosphere where you can watch the kitchen crew work its magic. A breakfast and lunch buffet compliment the restaurant's eclectic menu. The customers range from hotel guests to Topeka's movers and shakers.
Breakfast is served from 6 - 11 a.m., lunch from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. and dinner from 4 - 10 p.m.
Next to the restaurant, the open-air Water’s Edge Lounge serves from 2-10 p.m Monday through Friday and 2-11 p.m. on weekends. It features delicious appetizers as well as perhaps the best beverage selection in Topeka, including an upscale wine list, Bella Verde vodka and Stella Artois beer on tap to name a few. The menu changes from time to time. Soon it will change. Capitol Plaza Hotel does have a website and the website has a facebook link/click. If you "Like" them. Then you will see when something special happens or changes. I know that they will be changing the menu soon, the wine list and even some specialty drinks!
The Sunday Brunch Buffet is awesome. If you don't want that you can order off the menu. You can order light or even Vegan.
I've taken co-workers and family there, each for the first time. Both were impressed.
We go there often

We like to drop by here before hockey games, and we always enjoy the food, drink, and appetizers. If the dinner menu looks too "pricey," then ask for the lunch menu, and they will gladly give that to you.
