Went there last night, and the sign out front said
" Monday and Wednesday, Steak and Wine, $ 6.99." So we went in and I asked for the steak and wine. Waitress said she had no idea what I was talking about. I said it is on the sign out front, and she repeated that she had no idea what I was talking about. Very rude waitress. May never go back again.
A nice place for a non-traditional Topeka meal

I like to visit locally owned restaurants and this is one of my favorites. The food is great, the atmosphere is nice (although sometimes a bit loud and smokey) and the service is decent (I'd give it a 3.5 if I could).
Parking on the west side of the building is kind of a pain, so park on the north if possible.
Support locally owned restaurants!

It is an Irish pub, so I kinda expect some smoking AND some drinking and, yes, maybe even people having FUN. That is exactly what we've got the dozens of times we've been there. The quality of the food and drink is awesome. Don't change a thing.
could be good

if there was a little less smoke maybe I could taste the food. when you can smell it out front, it ain't just a smoking section. Might as well put an ashtray on every table.
Never had a bad meal or time

I've been to O'Dooley's several times and their food and atmosphere is great. The service is good, and they've always offered draft samples to those who've never experienced some of Ireland's brews. The shepherd's pie is great. The dessert sampler is more like a platter. It's a fantastic way to check our their great desserts and get the best bang for your buck.
And don't forget the Irish folk songs on the weekend. Good times, great food, you can't go wrong.

Irish beer, some Irish inspired food (along with the usual pub grub), and a reasonable facimilie of Irish pub decor could have you waxing nostalgiac for the motherland. If you're tired of the sports bar motif hit O'Dooley's. Erin go Braugh!!!
