Larry's Short Stop will fuel your belly while you fill your gas tank. In 1985, this gas station started selling chicken and has expanded its menu over the years. Days start off with a variety of breakfast options, from the popular biscuits and gravy to eggs. Later, there are cheeseburgers and french fries as well as meatloaf dinners, chicken and noodles, and beef and noodles. The shop has seating for 25 people, but most people take their orders to go. This place is amazing, excellent food possibly the best burger joint in town. Prices are by far the best. Breakfast's are also excellent and very cheap. Definately a working man's or women's place. Servings are large. Doesn't look nice on the outside but go on in you'll be glad you did.

Gonzo = fried potatoes, onion, and various sausages

WRONG!!!!!!!
Gonzo = (simply put) All the food from the previous day combined all together and served with gravy if desired. So hard telling what you are going to get when you order. Burritos, chicken strips, hash browns, sausage, hamburger. ect.. It's never the same.

good food

The prices are affordable and the food is sooooo tasty.
Its true that the place needs a bit of cleaning, especially in the restrooms but, if you are stopping for gas you need to stand in line and give the menu a try. Don't forget to grab some chicken and some gravy to take home with you for later.

Their burgers are the best. They have many other foods and their biscuit and gravy in the morning is wonderful.

Do not be swayed away by the decor or the people. Let the food talk and you'll be back.

Fantastic breakfast

I go out of my way to get the gonzo and gravy. Yummy! Want pizza for breakfast? No problem? You can get a lot of great food for a little bit of money.

It may not be 4 Olives or Chez Yasu, but for a red-blooded Kansas American the food is much better. The 4DF (half pound double cheeseburger with fries) puts any chain, including Red Robin, to shame. The breakfast selections, biscuits, hash browns and gravy among them, are excellent.

Lots of food, really tasty. What's not to love?
