... But my husband and I have eaten there probably around once a week for the last year and a half and have NEVER ONCE had a wrong order, bad food, or terrible service.

I will give ya that it is a little slow, but super worth it when it comes to taste..... not to mention HUGE portions!

(Maybe it's just me, but when two people can eat out with amazing tasting food and be satisfied for less than $6 spent per person, I call that a GREAT deal!)

AND they are open 24hrs... Which is awesome, because there are virtually no choices for quality food in Topeka past 10pm, for those of us who may operate on different schedules than your typical 9-5'r.

We HIGHLY recommend this establishment for EXCELLENT no-frills mexican food; and no, no one is paying me to say this ;)

Terrible service!

My husband went to the drive through for lunch today he ordered 2 #2s. When he got his food they had given him the wrong order. He went in to fix it but the girl at the counter argued with him about what he had ordered. She refuse to fix his order so he walked out with food he didn't want. Terrble service! We will not be going there again!

For the most part really good food but there may be some items that you just don't like for whatever reason. I love the Breakfast burrito's and have not run into one that I did not like. The beans are great as well as the rice and the fried bean burrito is a low cost choice and tastes good. Usually I like the chimmy's at most places but they are not usually large enough but at Poncho's they just are too greasy so Ive learned to stear clear of them but everything else Ive tried seems really good. If your looking for Authentic Mex food this is one of only 6 places I consider authentic Mexican food and Im a person that is of half mexican heritage. If you have a tendency to like Americanised Mexican this place is not for you and your better to go to On the Border Chipotle or the like. Tacos El sol Lupitas and Pepe's & Chila's are also Authentic mexican food as well as a few others the rest are American Mexican places.

I went to panchos the first time because I was drunk and my friends took me, The food was horrible, the service sucked, the burritos are bland but at 1am what choice do you have.

2nd time I was totally sober and craving Mexican and decided at 3pm to stop in for some food, should have know if the food was bad when you are drunk, that sober it would be worse. i had a horrible burrito the taste was just off, kinda like a old always save burrito from dillons, needless to say the foods over priced and I would not recommend anyone eat there unless you are really really really desperate and drunk, but then I would just recommend the extra drive to McDonald

I read the other reviews before going to this place because a friend had recommended it. I had the California burrito and the fish taco and for the price both were very good. My wife and I consider ourselves Mexican food lovers and we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food for fast food mexican. We NEVER eat Taco Bell or other fast food Mexican places and we only went here on a friends recomendation.

The english of the workers was fine because all they had to do was take our order which they did just fine.

The place was clean and you can see the kitchen which was clean.

We liked the selection of different salsa's although they werent hot enough for me but they were fine for the wife.

I plan on going back for a breakfast burrito and I will be sampling the rest of the menu.

Very Bland

The food was just bland. No flavor whatsoever. The quac. especially was like green paste with absolutely no flavor. The portion sizes were big, but I'd rather eat food with some flavor.

No bueno.

Well, I eat at Pancho's two to three times a week, and I am pleased. Sure, sometimes the employees don't have the best English, but a whole lot of local non-spanish don't do a great job with English either. Perhaps the whiners above should attempt to learn a little Spanish, might do them some good. Food quantity and quality is great. Good recipes too. Sometimes a review is more about being critical of the food style or ethnicity, and not the actual product produced. For what this establishment's concept is and what they serve, Pancho's does very well.

I, too, purchased the 50/50 gift cards through KMAJ. Went to Panchos today, and they would not honor them. Firstly, NONE of the employees spoke enough English to understand me when I said it was a GIFT CERTIFICATE. Fuming, I went ahead and paid cash. The food was repulsive. Dripping in grease. The prices really aren't that reasonable for the miserable excuse of food that they serve. First of all, with the obesity epidemic in America, having yet another 24/7 drive thru is pretty pathetic. Who needs fattening, greasy Mexican food at 1 in the morning?? GO TO BED! Secondly, there should be at least one employee in the building that can speak English so as to assist the English speaking customers. If you want fast, affordable, authentic and actually decent tasting Mexican food; go to Tacos El Sol on 6th street. I plan to get a full refund of my money no matter who I have to go to. This restaurant is absolutely terrible in food, and customer service.

Just sayin...

This place sucks ass. Unfortunatly it cost me $40 to figure this out. None of us finished our lunch as it basically went straight to the trash. I took about 3 bites of whatever it was that I ordered and was done. Will not be returning. IMO there are 6 too many of these locations.

I purchased gift certicates from 50/50 Friday with radio station and went to resturant this morning and first the man taking my order did not even know what I was ordering since he spoke Spanish. I had to show him the menu since he could not speak English. Then when I tried to pay with my $10 gift certificate he did not know what it was and he called his manager and handed me the phone. The manager or owner, so he says, handed the phone to his daughter since he could not speak English and proceeded to tell me that they will not take the gift certificate. She put her Father back on the phone and we had a conversation of him telling me he is the owner and he was not honoring the certificates. Told him he better get it straightened out because the radio station sold 63 sets of these $50 of gift certicates for $25. We drove off without food and will not be going back. If you live in America you need to learn to speak English! READ ABOVE COMMENT OF APPALLING !! This business will not be around for long!

Today was the first day we ate at Pancho's. My fiance' is from San Diego and has a favorite burrito place back home that is, to say the least, tough to beat! He ordered the California burrito with reluctance but just as soon as he took his first bite, I could tell he felt back at home! Our food was hot, fresh, and the portions were very adequate for the price. I highly recommend this place and we will most definitely find ourselves back there it is open 24/7! There are very few places who offer that kind of service. As for the direct service, it was fast, friendly, and we picked our own drink of choice :) Please support this establishment as it is one of a kind in our community!

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, DISGUSTING FOOD, AND LYING EMPLOYEES! I strongly recommend never supporting their joke of a legitimate business. This repulsive restaurant not only leaves a lot to desire in terms of food quality, as it is the lowest quality food I've had in Topeka, the staff is also disgustingly appalling. We ordered a very simple order at the drive through, payed and tipped more than they deserved (which is nothing), got home and realized that over 1/2 of the order we paid for was missing from the bag. I called and explained this to them, and they told me to come in the next day to receive a credit. I did just that, and was treated like a piece of shit for following their directions. The register worker's merely laughed and refused to help me unless I wanted to pay for another meal.. then the manager came out looking stoned out of his mind. While I spoke to him, the other employees mocked me for wanting such a small respect. The manager, or so he claimed to be, told me that even with the receipt he would not make due on his agreement to refund my purchase or even give me the food I had already paid for previously. He kept repeating that he didn't recognize my face so he would not help me, even though I told him over and over that he was not working the drive through and as a manager was responsible for handling customer service. He admitted recalling talking to me the night before and telling me to come into the store, but still was rude and unnecessarily unhelpful.

Love the food! So far it is amazing! Kind of a long drive through wait, but well worth it.
Loved the Grilled Chicken Burrito and Steak Fajitas!
Chips are clearly home made, YUMMO!
Bummer, they do not have Iced Tea...
So far so good! Yum

I ordered the chile relleno burrito... delicious! Large size for $4; I could eat only half of it. Chile relleno was nice and spicy, just the way I like it. Also had the chips and salsa, and although the 'salsa' was actually pico de gallo, both were good. My bf ordered 'rolled tacos,' which were more like taquitos (small), but he liked them. He had the horchata to drink, which he said was really good.

My only disappointment was that they carry Pepsi products, and not Coke.

I'm planning on returning and trying something different every time, as they have a LOT of choices!

Another Mexican Option

Gave this place a shot. Was hoping it was related to the Pancho's in Ottawa. Not the case, this is a new location from Pancho's of Olathe/Kansas City.

Had a carnitas burrito and bean tostado. Both tasted really good and fresh. The only hitch was kind of funny. The guy asked what I wanted to drink, I said Coke, He said no Coke, Pepsi. I said fine, Pepsi. He then said no Pepsi, Dr Pepper. So I got Dr Pepper.

One thing really neat about the place is they are open 24/7

I can see the potential for late night Mexican runs.
