PT's Coffee Roasting Co. opened Flying Monkey Handcrafted Brews on Dec. 2, 2011. A cafe specializing in serving Direct Trade Coffee and Espresso, Flying Monkey is located in the College Hill District at 17th & Washburn next to Washburn University, Flying Monkey is a PT's Coffee Roasting Co. cafe that serves PT's signature coffee, fresh, local food and a selection of local and regional microbrews including beer from Topeka's Blind Tiger.
On July 19, 2012, Flying Monkey was rebranded as PT's Coffee Roasting Co.

The coffee is fantastic, the grilled cheese is divine, and the employees are friendly and knowledgeable. Try the affogato and the carrot-cake-and-coconut muffins!

I have tried the trio with Hummus, Tabbouleh, and Greek salad. All three were heaven. The chicken salad sandwiches are also different and very good. You can't go wrong with PTs coffee, and the interior is beautiful. It's in a great location (well, for me it is, I live nearby) and the prices are reasonable. The service isn't anything to brag about though. Each time I've been there, the ladies behind the counter do not enjoy being interrupted to take your order. Other than that, I love it!
