Abigail's Grill and Bar

3701 S.W. Plaza Drive, Topeka

Formerly That Place, Abigail's Grill & Bar opened in November 2011. Owned by Frank and Abigail Saiya, Abigail's aims to be a neighborhood bar for South Topeka. With a menu that features breakfast all day with a southern twist (think comfort food), Abigail's will also have burgers and sandwiches to go along with a full bar.

The restaurant opens at 9 a.m., but the kitchen doesn't open until 10:30 a.m. The kitchen closes at 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday and at 12:30 a.m. Friday through Sunday.

Karaoke is offered Thursday and Saturday.



Arturo's Mexican Restaurant

105 S.E. 10th, Topeka

Aturo's opened in 2006, offering authentic Mexican foods in a friendly, casual atmosphere. In the downtown business district, Arturo's is a favorite lunch spot with a quick kitchen and staff, making a sit-down lunch fast and enjoyable.



Avila's Mexican Restaurant

10025 N.W. US-24 Highway, Silver Lake

Baby Dolls

Baby Dolls, in addition to being the premier gentleman's club in South Topeka, features a full-service kitchen serving steak, shrimp, hamburgers, chicken and salads. Billard Airport Restaurant

For a good time in a casual atmosphere, try Billard Airport Restaurant, which has been serving good ol' hot American food for more than half a century. Blind Tiger Brewery and Restaurant

417 S.W. 37th St., Topeka

The Blind Tiger opened in 1995 offering casual dining, "good food, friendly people and great beer." Every day the bar features nine beers on tap, including four handcrafted ales from the restaurant's microbrewery. The restaurant, which can handle large parties and has daily lunch and dinner specials, features midwestern favorites including Kansas City-style barbequed ribs and seasonally available buffalo burgers. Boss Hawg's Barbeque

2833 S.W. 29th St., Topeka

As its slogan says, Boss Hawg's has been "Horrifying Vegetarians Since 1995" with its delicious barbecue. The casual dining restaurant, located in the Brookwood Shopping Center and attached to Pigskin's Sports Bar, has won numerous state and regional awards, and has placed high in national and international rankings. Buzzard's Pizza
